What the states mean

• Online means the device is inside its execution window and running work now. Where the provider publishes a queue, the row says how many tasks are ahead of yours
• Outside window means the device is working normally but runs to a published weekly schedule, and is between windows right now. Submissions are accepted and charged, then wait for the next window, which the row names in UTC from the provider's own calendar
• Maintenance means the provider has taken the device out of service for calibration or repair. Submissions may still be accepted, and wait until it returns
• Online on the TPU row means the tier is live, not that a chip is idle and waiting. If no TPU can be had when your job starts, the job is refused inside four minutes and nothing is charged
• Down means the provider is not reachable. Queued work is not lost, and nothing you submit while a device is down is charged for a run that never happened
